Piccadilly Theatre
As part of a wider portfolio of work with the Ambassadors Theatre Group (ATG), cc|be was appointed to deliver much needed Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health services at this much-loved West End Theatre, a venue which had not been significantly refurbished since the 1950’s.
The project involved numerous logistical and technical challenges, not least the replacement of the auditorium ventilation, heating and cooling system while the theatre remained fully occupied.
We worked closely with the Client and project managers Plann, to deliver the permanent and temporary MEP solutions required to deliver the project according to the tight timescales. This has involved the delivery of “just in time” design information, following on immediately behind building surveys to produce designs in the most expedient manner.
The project has included detailed surveys of the building by cc|be to find suitable, inobtrusive routes for cabling and ductwork. Although not a listed building, we have taken care to minimize the impact of our works on the building, seeking to retain the charm of the 1930s interior.
